The King and Queen led a two-minute silence at a service in Staffordshire to commemorate 80 years since VJ Day.Among the many attendees had been veterans, a few of whom participated within the ceremony by laying wreaths and giving readings.VJ Day, or Victory over Japan Day, is marked every year on 15 August – the date in 1945 when Japan surrendered to the Allied forces and World Battle Two ended.
