Scotland-based regulation agency Shepherd and Wedderburn has lately been hit with accusations of emblem plagiarism, with claims its design is strikingly just like Serena Williams’ jewelry model. Whereas the Tennis star has but to touch upon the controversy, the regulation agency has defended the design, citing the distinction of the manufacturers in query.Whereas emblem design disputes are nothing new, hardly ever are they sparked by public consideration. Whereas the controversy seems completely coincidental, it has raised questions on how the allegedly equivalent emblem design wasn’t flagged. Nevertheless, with no authorized motion at the moment served, it appears the regulation agency is standing sturdy with its rebranded id.The design in query includes a stylised ‘SW’ motif, with round accents on the ‘S’ and single slanted strains representing the ‘W’. Whereas there are slight discrepancies between the regulation agency and Williams’ logos, the typographical kinds and composition made it practically unimaginable for critics not to attract comparisons.

Created by Neon Model Consultancy, the rebrand was imagined to mark an “thrilling new chapter” for the regulation agency. In response to criticism, a spokesperson for Shepherd and Wedderburn advised The Instances, “Any similarities with different manufacturers are purely coincidental. It’s extremely unlikely there will probably be any shopper confusion between a regulation agency and Serena Williams’ jewelry vary.”

(Picture credit score: Shepherd and Wedderburn)Whereas Williams and her workforce have not responded to the controversy but, a minimum of the regulation agency is well-equipped to deal with any potential authorized points which will crop up.
