You wouldn’t guess it’s a celeb’s house. However that’s the allure of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s home. A big hall, lined with playbill-style posters, reminds Nawaz of his NSD (Nationwide College of Drama) days. “Mujhe lagta hai ki primary abhi bhi scholar hoon performing ka,” he confesses.
His love for aesthetics is clear. “Mujhe design ka bada shauk hai… bar bhi khud design kiya hai. Khulepan ke liye maine badi badi home windows banwayi hain.” Greenery surrounds the house, transporting you away from the chaos of Mumbai.
Movie buffs would love his non-public screening house. “Yahan baith kar hum movies dekhte hain, dialogue karte hain. Balcony bahut pyari si hai, chaaron taraf hariyali hai… baahar baith kar baatein karne ka maza hello kuch aur hai.”

His bed room? The smallest room in the home, intentionally so. “Apni aukaat mein rahoon isliye sabse chhota rakha hai,” he says with a smile. And the identify of the home? “Namam,” a tribute to his father.
The actor has preserved an unfiltered sense of pleasure, consolation, and camaraderie inside his partitions. “Doston ke saath gapshap, khana banana, movies ki baatein karna—woh sabse accha time hota hai. Performing ke baare mein baatein karte karte pata bhi nahi chalta kab dinner ka time ho gaya.”
Even his kitchen is a labour of affection. “Theme white rakha hai. Bahadur itna kamaal ka kaam karta hai, saaf safai mein bemisaal. Aur haan, primary daal, aloo-gobhi aur baingan ka bharta bhi badiya banata hoon.”
In the long run, Nawazuddin sums up the spirit of his house completely: “Sach kahoon, ghar, gaadiyaan—yeh sab koi achievement nahi hai. Achievement tab hai jab aap apne jaisa kaam karna chahein aur kar paayein.”
