About 100 firefighters have tackled a fireplace at a block of flats in Battersea, south-west London.A “vital quantity of the constructing and the roof” of the five-storey residential constructing on Maysoule Street had been destroyed within the blaze, London Brigade (LFB) stated.Hearth crews had been mobilised shortly after 19:00 BST and introduced the hearth underneath management at 23:01, it added.About 150 individuals had been evacuated by fireplace crews sporting respiratory equipment, whereas firefighters used a big turntable ladder as a water tower to assist deal with the flames from above.
