Mental property staff of 21 legal professionals jumps to Sheppard Mullin

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has acquired a 21-lawyer staff of mental property legal professionals from Ropes & Grey that features 5 companions.
One of many legal professionals making the transfer is Steven Pepe, chair of Ropes & Grey’s IP apply group, report Bloomberg Legislation, Legislation.com and a Sept. 18 press launch.
The group “joins and expands” Sheppard Mullin places of work in New York, Silicon Valley, Seoul and Washington, D.C., in line with the press launch.
Pepe informed Legislation.com that Sheppard Mullin’s shoppers in South Korea and Asia supplied “ alignment for us.” And the regulation agency “has one of many strongest reputations in IP litigation and IP typically,” he mentioned.
In a press release revealed by Bloomberg and Legislation.com, Ropes & Grey mentioned it “stays absolutely dedicated to the continued progress of our IP transactions apply, in addition to strengthening our presence in key markets, together with the West Coast. We’re grateful for the contributions of our former colleagues and sit up for alternatives for continued collaboration with them.”
